Gettysburg Tour from Washington DC

Gettysburg Tour from Washington DC

Join a small group and travel through picturesque country to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, a town steeped in historic interest, for a fully guided tour from Washington DC.

The day is devoted to a tour of the town and the historic battlefield. The commentary of the tour guides will help you to understand more clearly than ever before the story of the largest battle ever fought on U.S. soil.

Your first stop will be at Farnsworth House, where you will see a 75-minute living history presentation to give you an idea of what life was like as a soldier in 1863. That's followed by a trip to the Gettysburg Visitor Center to view an orientation film, as well as the cyclorama presentation (combined total of 45 minutes), as well as time in the museum. And finally, there's a two-hour tour of the Gettysburg battlefield with one of the Visitor Center's top-rated tour guides.

If you love history - and Civil War history in particular - then this tour is a true gem!
